The rope in that photo looks like the cheaper, shiny yellow plastic rope used to tie bumpers to hang from the sides of boats. I have suffered rope burns from these. Using this cheaper rope to execute is very inhuman.

The campaign could be linked to racism as well. In the US, the death row inmates, are disproportionally people of color.
I'm less than thrilled, about people who oppose the death penalty in Iran, and not the US.
